Would you, or someone you know, like to join our small (but growing!) Barista team? Working alongside Jess, Rorie and myself (Matt) and supporting events organisers at Union St too...

An 'essential criteria' of the role is previous Barista experience, as we're seeking someone who can serve basic latte art, but nothing too crazy as our 'house standard' is a simple heart.
Our Baristas are super important to us, as the first person our members come into contact with when arriving at Union St each morning, so we're looking for someone who enjoys talking with new people, takes pride in working to high standards, and creates a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

We'd also like to offer additional ad-hoc hours for supporting our event organisers, helping to set-up and assisting with refreshments and lunch catering...
Pay: £15/hr, £100 per shift of 6.5 hours
Frquency: Initially 6 hours per week, increasing up to 20 hours per week
Hours: Baristas start work at 8am and finish at 2:30pm
Event Assistant Hours: flexible and ad-hoc
To apply, please pop in with a CV and have a chat with either Jess, Rorie or myself on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between 8:30am and 2pm.
Incase it's helpful, the quietest point in the day (when we have the most time for chatting) is between 10:30 and 12.
Looking forward to hearing from you :-)
Do you believe in the importance of leisure, play and rest at this time of multiple crises? Do you think our collective devotion to work is misplaced and long for an alternative?
Launching on the 27th October as a weekly 'Huddle', the aim is to create "a peer group experiment in leisure, play and rest as the source of personal and societal transformation."

"Leisure is often reduced to the down-time we must have for the purpose of further work, whereas work is seen as the real point of existence. In this learning journey we will question and challenge that, through doing more of what brings us joy and makes us feel alive. We will discover the potential that lies in a society of more leisure. Together we will prototype ‘the good life’."
