Vacancy: Experienced Barista (part-time)

We serve award winning coffee roasted locally at Smith St alongside freshly baked pastries from 4 Eyes Patisserie and - from 12 til 2pm - we support a rotating programme of local street food traders to serve their fresh menus of hot lunches, ranging from African Fusion to Sri Lankan Thali.

Two our Baristas are returning to Uni so we're looking to recruit an experienced Barista to join our small but lovely team. Essential requirements include a minimum of one year in a previous Barista role, including basic latte art skills, so an initial step in the application process would be to invite you to pop-in and make us a flat white with a heart :)

Role details

• Initially 1 or 2 days per week with potential to increase

• £14.30/hr basic rate (£100 per shift) and £18.50/hr On Target Earnings

Essential Criteria

• Being able to chat naturally with customers whilst serving them, helping people feel welcome in the space and part of the wider community.

• Diligence in maintaining high standards with crafting speciality coffee, giving consistent customer service and maintaining a fun, friendly & professional space.

Desirable characteristics

• Being able to work some shifts as a solo Barista and handle busy times

• Previous experience contributing to social media, photography and/or design

• Previous experience of managing and developing your own tasks
