Hello and thank you for your interest in co-working at Union St.

When we started Union St we wanted to create a space which was as accessible as possible, offering the lowest prices we could in order to maximise the amount of people who could afford to work here, which builds the energy and community and makes it a good place to work.

We’ve also just signed a 5 year lease in December 2016, which requires a much higher rent to be paid, so a significant amount of work is currently being invested towards enabling the building to break-even and cover it’s costs. As a result, our lowest prices are now part of a 12 month membership commitment, as we aim to build a sustainable income stream for a building which benefits all of its users.

All prices are all inclusive of city centre rent (private landlord), utilities (Ecotricity), Superfast WiFi (30mb/second), recycling (Recycling Revolution), professional cleaning services (Just Works), and unlimited fresh Twin Cafe coffee.

Option A – low cost 12 month membership

  • 1 day per week membership – £45 per month as part of a 12 month membership
  • 2 days per week membership – £55 per month as part of a 12 month membership
  • 3 days per week membership – £70 per month as part of a 12 month membership
  • Unlimited Mon-Fri membership – £95 per month as part of a 12 month membership

Option B – 1 month rolling ‘easy in easy out’ membership

We also recognise that some people prefer a shorter term ‘easy in easy out’ commitment, so we’re keen to offer this option whilst also ensuring the additional administration time is reflected in the pricing;

  • 1 day per week membership – £58.50 – 1 month rolling membership
  • 2 days per week membership – £71.50 – 1 month rolling membership
  • 3 days per week membership – £98 – 1 month rolling membership
  • Unlimited Mon-Fri membership – £133 – 1 month rolling membership

These prices remain significantly cheaper than alternative providers, such as the £150/month + VAT charged by Regus, £150/month + VAT at Desk.Space in Kelham Island, or £170/month at The Roco, all in Sheffield.

Union St is a non-profit social enterprise, re-investing profits from the co-working space into developing city centre facilities, currently focusing on refurbishing the ground which hosts a different street food trader ‘popping up’ to serve hot lunches each day, with a professional full time Barista starting in May. For co-working members lunch is discounted and all fresh coffees are currently just £1.

With all co-working at Union St the days you choose to work are completely flexible, so if you’re on the two day per week package and work Monday and Tuesday at Union St this week, then next week you could work on a Thursday and a Friday and that would be no problem at all.

All membership is paid by standing order at the start of the month that you begin to work, which means you don’t have to worry about having to bring cash or deal with monthly invoices, although you can choose to receive an automated monthly invoice if you’d like one.
