Hello and thank you for your interest in co-working at Union St.

From the beginning our aim has been to create a space which is as accessible as possible, offering the lowest prices we could afford in order to maximise the amount of people who can work here, which in turn builds the sense of energy and community makes it a good place to work.

In December we signed a new lease which requires a significant monthly rent to be paid, so our lowest prices are now part of a 12 month membership commitment, as we aim to build a stable income stream and establish a resource which benefits all users.

All prices are all inclusive of city centre rent (private landlord), superfast WiFi (30mb/second), recycling (provided by local non-profit Recycling Revolution), utilities (electricity, water, rates etc), professional cleaning services (provided by local non-profit Just Works), plus drinks served by Motore Cafe are reduced to just £1.50 for co-working members.

Option A – paid monthly for a minimum of 12 months

  • 1 day per week membership – £45 per month as part of a 12 month membership
  • 2 days per week membership – £65 per month as part of a 12 month membership
  • 3 days per week membership – £90 per month as part of a 12 month membership
  • Unlimited Mon-Fri membership – £120 per month as part of a 12 month membership

Option B – 1 month rolling ‘easy in easy out’ membership

We also recognise that some people prefer a shorter term ‘easy in easy out’ commitment, so we’re keen to offer this option whilst also ensuring the additional administration time is reflected in the pricing;

  • 1 day per week membership – £60 – 1 month rolling membership
  • 2 days per week membership – £90 – 1 month rolling membership
  • 3 days per week membership – £130 – 1 month rolling membership
  • Unlimited Mon-Fri membership – £170 – 1 month rolling membership

These prices remain cheaper than alternative providers, such as the £150/month + VAT charged by Regus, £150/month + VAT at Desk.Space in Kelham Island, or £170/month at The Roco, all in Sheffield.

Union St is an independent social enterprise, re-investing profits into creating a city centre resource to benefit a wide range of people, including the ground floor workspace cafe hosting a different independent street food trader each day, the Roundabout charity shop, the 3rd floor Union STudio, the 2nd floor Co-working Co-operative, and the One Space on the 1st floor hosting a wide range of workshops, meet-ups, campaign groups and public events.

With all co-working at Union St the days you choose to work are completely flexible, so if you’re on the two day per week package and work Monday and Tuesday at Union St this week, then next week you could work on a Thursday and a Friday and that would be no problem at all.

Following a two week free trial, all memberships are paid by direct debit at the start of the month that you begin to work, which means you don’t have to worry about having to bring cash or deal with monthly invoices, although you can choose to receive an automated monthly invoice if you’d like one.
